ACT and its controlled companies work together toward a single goal: offering modern, efficient mobility services throughout the province of Reggio Emilia.

A.C.T. Azienda Consorziale Trasporti

(Date founded: 1 Oct 1975)

This consortium of local governments (with a 38% share held by the City of Reggio Emilia, 29% by the Province of Reggio Emilia and the remaining 33% by the 44 municipalities in the province of Reggio Emilia) was founded in accordance with law 142 passed in 1990.

As a publicly-owned company with its own proprietary infrastructures and equipment, ACT develops public mobility, coordinates transit services in Reggio Emilia and its province, and performs the following activities and functions: local agency for mobility and public transit; mobility services (parking, school buses, transportation of the disabled, etc.); workshop for the maintenance and renovation of road vehicles; design, management and maintenance of escalators, intelligent traffic lights, etc.
