Beginning with the recently inaugurated terminal at S. Giacomo di Guastalla, DP manages the intermodal exchange terminal at Dinazzano as well as railway terminals in the province. Together, these terminals handle railway freight throughout the province of Reggio Emilia and also serve the ceramic production district in Sassuolo in the province of Modena.

An alliance of the two principal public railway companies in the Emilia-Romagna region (ACT and FER), DP is developing a more efficient and more competitive integrated rail freight system extending from the Po river to Dinazzano. The system will be an important starting point for solving many of the traffic and pollution problems that afflict the province.
