New passes for parking at reduced rates

As specified in the "Plan for reorganising the availability and regulation of parking in the central area of Reggio Emilia" passed by the City Council of Reggio Emilia, citizens can now purchase new types of parking passes at reduced rates. When applying for these passes for the first time, the applicant must present his or her TAX ID NUMBER, and companies requiring an invoice must include their VAT NUMBER in addition to the documents required for each type of pass.

Parking Passes

A monthly or annual pass can be used in certain parking areas. It is intended for people who use parking areas regularly (for example, to park at work). The cost of the pass depends on the type of parking area chosen.

All passes expire on the last day of the month of validity. They can only be used in the parking area listed on the pass, which must be clearly displayed on the windshield. Any infractions involving passes will be subject to the fines prescribed by the traffic code and municipal regulations.

Since spaces are not reserved for holders of passes, a pass is valid only for spaces which happen to be available.
